Using mineral make up can take a few tries to get your application just right, but don't give up- the results are well worth the effort. Here are some tips to help get you started. Powder Foundation: Always make sure your moisturiser or primer has completely absorbed before applying mineral foundation. Turn the jar over, tap the bottom with your finger, turn right side up, and open. You should find a small amount of DNM Divine Natural Mineral Cosmetics Foundation in the lid. Swirl your Professional Kabuki brush in the foundation, and tap the excess back into the lid. Begin applying with short, feathery, downward strokes or light circles. You want the fine hairs and pores of your skin to lay flat. Always apply the foundation in thin layers, two is usually sufficient. Conceal
ing: If you need to conceal something we recommend using our stubbie brush. It is the perfect size for under eye concealing and to cover any blemishes. Always apply your foundation first, then go over any areas that need more concealing, finishing with a light dusting of foundation over the concealed areas. Setting Powder: Use the Kabuki Brush and apply all over the face after the application of eye cosmetics, lipstick and blush. This will ensure your make up lasts all day. Blush: Using our Handi Flat top Brush, gather a little colour from the lid and tap off the extra. Then use light, feathery strokes from the apple of your cheek and blend back towards your hairline. Bronzer: Use the Deluxe Flat Top Bronzer Brush and apply the colour to any part of your body that you want bronzed. You can even mix the DNM Cosmetics Bronzer in with your usual body lotion or moisturiser for an all over bronze look! Too Much Shine? Layering too thickly or pressing into the skin with the brush tends to separate the crystals. It is easy to avoid this by applying the minerals in thin layers in downward strokes with an appropriate brush (we recommend Kabuki brushes). Keep adding layers until desired coverage has been reached. Uneven or blotchy? This is usually because the minerals have been applied before the primer has been absorbed or the moisturizer being used only lays on the skin surface. The simple solution is to wait a minute for the moisturizer to disappear or to blot any excess. Skin Tickles? If you get a feeling of tickling on the skin or a slight tightness around the nose after you first application, don't worry this could just be technique. Try applying again using softer, lighter strokes with your Kabuki brush; remember you build layers gently to get the desired coverage. The skin on your face is very delicate and you may find the use of a dry brush for applying make-up a little strange at first but go softly and your skin will love you for making the change to the DNM Cosmetics products. DNM Divine Natural Mineral Cosmetics can be applied immediately after a light peel or micro-dermabrasion. It will not only cover the redness, but the Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxides are anti-inflammatory, which will help to calm the irritation. If you are perspiring heavily or swimming, don't wipe your face with a towel or with your hand. Just pat your face dry with a towel. Please Note: Despite the purity of our products, some people still do react to and are allergic to some natural ingredients. If you do experience any irritation or redness, discontinue use immediately. Whilst allergic reactions are rare, DNM Divine Natural Mineral Cosmetics cannot be held responsible for any allergies or ailments from our products.
